Even when Iruka was released you can tell he was struggling to regain his breath.

If I recall correctly, Iruka was hurt badly enough to make him breath heavily regardless of whether he was stuck inside the slug or not.

In any case, Sakura doesn't have to be inside the slug all the time. Only when Hidan tries to make a killing blow. She's not an idiot fighter either. She'd probably try maximize any benefit the slugs defensive capabilities have on them.


Sakura is an evasion ninja. Her battle with Sasori proved that she was a capable evasion ninja even without Chiyo's help (later in the battle though, mind you, and it can be reasonably inferred that her reaction time has increased after this battle).

You have no proof that she will suffocate. As I said. We cannot disprove each other on that fact, unless you show me a manga scan of people being suffocated while inside a slug. Until then, I'm going to assume that when the slugs covered everyone during the Pain invasion, they literally enveloped them.

As for the slug jumping, I never said it had to. It's quite possible to summon a beast mid-air, like Guy did (not that Hidan would ever allow himself to be in that position).

Besides, I'm of the assumption that the slug wouldn't allow her to suffocate. But enveloping people does seem to be something it does often to heal or protect.

Besides, this is a bad match up. Almost as bad as Guy vs Kisame. Hidan is mostly impervious to Sakura's method of attack, which is internal damage.

This image her proves that the slug surronds her wards with her body. Not just sit on them.

And while I cannot prove that these guys were breathing comfortably while inside their slugs. I can prove that these slugs single-handedly prevented their wards from dying underneath tons of rubble and from being killed by rampaging rinnigan possessed animals.

If he didn't suffocate during the entire journey while the frog was swimming to the Hidden Rain (under water no less), Then I'm sure that these slugs can harbor people inside them as well and provide them with some form of oxygen.

Guy out does Kisame in speed (with his gates on), rendering Kisame's taijutsu useless, leaving only his Ninjutsu to rely on. And Kisame's ninjutsu unfortunately cannot take out Guy's psedo-tai/ninjutsu.

Essentially, the parallel I'm drawing with Guy and Kisame is this. Kisame used his strongest attack on Guy, and it was useless because Kisame's attack relied on the opponents counter-attack using chakra. But Guy rarely uses Chakra in any of his attacks. Sakura relies on the incredible amount of internal damage she causes once she gets her punch in. But Hidan is unaffected by such attacks because apparently all his internal organs are just for his ritual only.

Regarding your edit, just because Hidan is immune to physical damages does not necessarely mean that he's a bad match up since it is not the only reason why Sakura can't win. Sakura can not even touch Hidan in the first place because his talents in evasion are far too much for her. Asuma assisted by Shikamaru was not able to land a single blow on Hidan, Sakura is inferior to Asuma alone in taijutsu and speed.

Show me a proof that indicates there is a barrier inside the slug? You can not, according to the wiki there is actually a barrier inside the frog. Furthermore the fact that Sakura was out of breath proves that there is indeed no barrier whatsoever.

I also see dust when Shizune was freed yet she was coughing, Sakura's stamina has never been really good hence why she was coughing, also she wasmost likely holding her breath for longer than all the others.

Her punches were never shown to be capable of tearing a hole through anyone, you are just making assumptions. Even if she could it would not work against Hidan, he tanked a futon jutsu that destroyed giant trees and was not even injured, Sakura can not do anything to Hidan.
Her slug was never shown to be able to spit acid and you are just pulling more stuff out of your ass by saying she can amplify her already nonexistent acid.

As for Shizune coughing, What? That just enforces my point. It was the dust, not the lack of oxygen in the slug that made her cough. And I don't see how low stammina relates to this argument. And I already made my point that on Sakura coughing multiple times.


Edit: I found the wiki page. And that does not help your point at all. It only has a seal that prevents chakra from escaping to prevent people from sensing anyone inside the frog. What makes you think that seal also happens to hold and circulate air as well? You're assuming that the seal automatically some how manges to keep oxygen supplied to the person inside the frog. Just like how I'm assuming the slug naturally can keep it's wards oxygen supplied.

I never said there was a barrier seal inside the slugs. I merely implied that if you could pull that argument without having any actual evidence of their being a seal that supplied oxygen to the user, then so could I.

Also, did you take notice that slugs have their own way of breathing? I'm sure the slug could hide Sakura in her/his lung if need be, seeing how slugs bodies are a bit different from a frogs or snakes..where such tactics would be life threatening.

Typing mistake, I meant she was not coughing even though there was dust.
Obviously someone who has poor stamina won't be able to hold their breath for as long as someone with 5/5.

How is it an assumption? If there were no oxygen Jiraiya would not have survived inside, common sense. Furthermore the kind of barrier he stayed in is the same kind of barrier he hided in when he killed Animal Path for the second time, which was a large area therefore it had plenty of oxygen.

The evidence was already posted, that is when Sakura was coughing when she was freed, meaning she was out of breathe, and by common sense one can not breathe inside if a slug as there is no room for air, I have already refuted your arguments.

Also Shizune and Ino only stayed inside the slug for few seconds unlike Sakura who had to stay during the entire time shinra tensei destroyed the village. Which proves she held her breath for a longer period of time hence why she was coughing.
