Kakashi is essentially a better version of Hebi Sasuke, however. Raikiri Wolf, Doton walls, Raikiri kunai, and Bunshin. Let me see some arguments for Deidara.

I think people are underestimating Deidara's arsenal a little bit. Don't forget my man has his own arsenal of clone usage and feints, Can go underground in seconds (like Kakashi), and has bombs that vary across the border. From snakes to birds, it can be really dangerous.

The fight can go a number of ways IMO. I think Deidara takes this 6 times outta 10. Kakashi doesn't use genjutsu as frequently or as efficiently as Sasuke does. While Kakashi could very well counter Deidara's bombs, he doesn't do it as efficiently as Hebi Sasuke. An example is that is when Deidara's throws out multiple bombs from the start. Sasuke used Chidori Senbon to counter but what would Kakashi do? I'm not gonna act like he can't counter it but whatever Kakashi does, will buy Deidara time either for an opening, flight, or preparation in something greater, something you don't want with Deidara. So I feel like Deidara wins this more than Kakashi does.

Unlike sasuke who'd put his own body at risk (and that's the only reason he even got hit most of the time) to test hypotheses kakahsi is gonna send out a clone and gain info from 2 vantage points. Kakashi won't give deidara the time to set up c2 dragon (or c3 dragon can't remember) nor is Tobi there to set up the mines for him. Deidara already proved that all of his bombs can be avoided via hiding like mole. (Especially since they don't burn deep into the ground). Lightning kunai/dog picks him out the sky if necessary and even if he takes to the skies he'll just lose sight of kakashi giving him time to set up clones. Not to mention kakashi already being skilled in masking his presence. It's horrible for deidara.

Don't see how Kakashi can win imo. His arsenal isn't as adept as Sasuke's when it comes to countering the clay. Chidori senbon, Chidori Nagashi, Chidori Eiso, etc. Kakashi's variations won't compare, he won't have that range, he won't have the Raiton versatility, he won't have the CM2 endurance or even the genjutsu. All he has is a sharingan, a chidori wolf, several useless jutsu's and a range which won't allow him to hit Deidara without being hit first. Deidara mid diff.
