In my opinion episode 2 did not finish off strong enough for me. Though I thought it was freaking epic though, when Rick freaking fodderized those prisoners LOL best scene in all the show. Though I though he should not have killed the little guy or left him to the walkers. I like that Hershel is still alive because we lost Dale and we can't afford to lose Hershel. I also really really like that they are splitting up the plot into two different Vantage points where we get to see Rick and his people's story and Michonne and Andrea's story. This season is going to be real real interesting.

I agree the ending was a bit weak. At least it was far weaker than last weeks ending! I am really upset that Rick decided to leave that kid to go and die. I mean he wasn't even much of a killer as he panicked when Rick flat out iced the doucebag guy. Basically Rick is becomming Shane and it is becomming an issue! We had the whole Rick vs Shane with their views and Rick won out...now we have just killed Shane and replaced him with Rick T.T.....anyhow I do like the whole Michonne and Andrea on their own little sidequest, and it is going to come together in either the next episode or the one after that!

I like how he attempted to justify it with a, "You better run." lame excuse for cold murder. Not cool to the max as it ruined the whole friction that caused the ending of season 2 -.-

I like dark Rick. I don't think he's turning into Shane, and I say that because Rick actually gave the group a chance, not to mention the fact that he was willing to help them in exchange for food despite the danger.
Shane probably would've just executed them off the bat. Besides, Rick's actions were justified. The prisoner tried to indirectly swing at him and threw a walker at him. That's two strikes, which is two too many.
The only questionable thing Rick did was how he left the prisoner to die outside. He did try to take a swing at Rick with a bat after he machete'd the other guy, which is enough to communicate to Rick that the prisoner might try to get revenge, and Rick just can't allow any possible threat to his group.
Anyway, I thought it was a very good episode.

Well thats just it isnt it ? The point and essence of The Walking Dead series is to show us what could have happened in case of zombie apocalypse. And the authors are pretty clear on this subject, people would loose all morality in order to survive. Rick is a prime example.
