Well, if it is really is, I might take a peek at it. But if its not, I'm not going to bother.
Kishimoto said that some info about Toneri's clan and backstory made it into the novel that couldn't be put into the movie because of trying to keep the length of the movie down. The movie's already one of the longest Naruto movies so it sounds like they did make some compromises to be able to leave things in.

I see. Thanks
I will be shocked if Kishi doesn't announce that these, too, are connected to canon
Well, I honestly wouldn't care either way.

Kishi supervised the artwork.

The story is comprised of Blood Prison details too. That is not canon either, so I'm going to assume no until proven otherwise.

You know, "canon" is a term that is mostly used by fans - authors usually bother much less with it. Some things that were "confirmed canon" still create problems with the timeline etc., so it all depends on what you consider canon - whether it's strictly what Kishi wrote, or includes stuff that he was involved with, or everything that doesn't contradict the manga.

That said, apparently the books have a different version of Blood Prison's events, and while the movie is definitely "alternate" in relation to the manga, the books technically aren't, so far. So it's up to you whether you want to consider them part of the storyline or not.

most retarded thread
What is the most retarded member of NB doing in a thread like this? Go back to your Tobidara shit.

OT: The Last novel is basically the printed out version of the movie, in text format (though I've heard they added some more info in the novel). I've read some parts of the novel and it contains quotes directly from the movie (I've watched the movie a month ago). The movie is scripted by Kishi himself, hence the movie is canon, and therefore the novel is canon too.

This
The location Blood Prison can itself be canon if the novels r canon and does not have inconsistency with manga events
Though i can care less about them

My stance is no.

All the material after original work i view as fan service and milking money.

Reason being is that original work has a main theme and the main message author wants to pass into the masses, so much it often defies logic.

While love story of last or other post canon works is of secondary importance.

And?

Kakashi would kick his ass. Without the gates, he ain't got nothing on Kakashi.
It was base rock lee. Kakashi beating him isn't hard to believe given his 30 year rivalry with guy.
Kakashi without Sharingan? His rivalry was all with the Sharingan, so Gai should be way better since he lost it.

Lee should be too. If he's not, a lot of people can defeat him.

Exactly. Most of Kakashi's taijutsu feats were with the Sharingan in the first place, minus some Kabuto beat downs in part one. Gai and Lee who train constantly in that area casually wreck Kakashi without the Sharingan.
