Wait Sarada Has What in The New Sasuke Shinden Novel?

Reading spoilers apparently the new Sasuke Novel reveals something I thought would be important development we would actually see happen in the manga.

Sarada apparently has unlocked the 3 tomoe sharingan in the new novel.

In the series the last we saw she still had the one tomoe sharingan which she has had for a long while. For her to just jump two tomoes in a semi fillerish novel like this seems dumb. That is the important kind of development that should be seen on screen. So when is this novel even set relative to the manga. It is obviously after the movie. I guess now we know why we have yet to see Sarada activate her sharingan post movie arc in the manga because then we will know she already unlocked further development of her sharingan which must have happened off screen.

False equivalence. Sarada is a main character which Itachi wasn't. We've seen every remotely notable event Sarada's experienced while we only have snippets of Itachi's childhood.

Yeah, I think animating it if they plan on having content between the Momo arc and the beginning of the manga adaptation is probably the most viable option

She is. Boruto's the protagonist and Kawaki's probably going to end up being the deuteragonist based on indications but Sarada is definitely still a main character and so far in the story she's even held down the role of deuteragonist. When Kawaki fully comes into the picture her role in the story will probably take a narrative shift towards tritagonist but she'll remain an MC nonetheless

Notice that she didn't activate her sharingan at all after the events of the movie, so there's a possibility that she actually unlocked it behind the scenes (After Momoshiki was defeated).

Learning new techniques isn't the same thing as jumping two tomoes offscreen. The growth of the Sharingan is supposed to be a very important event, especially for someone who is a main character and the future of the Uchiha clan. We saw Sasuke gain every tomoe of his

Without Kawaki in the story, Sarada's currently the equivalent of Sasuke in Part I in terms of relevance and priority

There's no reason why she should have a one tomoe last time we saw her and then randomly have three out of nowhere. It's awful writing and it messes up the continuity along with potential for development and memorable moments like Sasuke awakening his against Haku

This is exactly the type of writing that makes the Boruto series pedestrian and prosaic in comparison to the original

That's because the current arc isn't about her. Sasuke has been absent for like 3 consecutive arcs in Shippuden yet he's still a main character.
