Honestly I can this being not emphasised on for the sake of a dramatic reveal later. It'd make sense with Obito and Kabuto both making it to the final fight.

Doesn't really confirm or deny it, he doesn't know the guy and his thoughts are on himself.

As I said, it's possible it's being held back for dramatic purposes.
