Obito forshadowed "their fate" was going to be the same. EG a fight we already knew was going to happen. Nowhere was it implied that they had chakra from the sages sons, nor was it implied that Naruto or Sasuke were the same as those two. Obito merely spoke on behalf of the coincidence. Not to mention he was furthering driving Sasuke down the curse of hatred.

Speak for your self, after Obito's story I figured Naruto was gunna be someone's reincarnation, weather it was Hagoromo's or his son I didn't know but I was aware of the fact after the story. Just because you couldn't peace it together doesn't mean nobody else could lol

He only got used by Obito and even then it wasn't really using since they was using each other. Same as Madara using Obito and Obito using Nagato and Nagato using akatsuki to get where they wanted to be at and achieve something they wanted.
