Alright, lets see if I can pick up the pace with this. Now from my observation, Lightning has quite a lot of forms and applications to use. Here are the ones I know and are in the canon list.
Plasma Lightning
Lightning/Earth Form
Telekinetic Lightning
Anyway these three forms I just gave you are forms that are not really high in canon jutsus. So we would go over their individual jutsus when we begin the techniques. They do have great potential for custom makings (I recommend you start customs after you complete all you're elements however). Now I don't request a discussion because of the fact they are not high and number and the canon usages presented are not really complicated. So I just need you to tell me if you have any questions and we will continue. There is one last form, but it is really common and requires an actual discussion. So, any questions?

Plasma Lightning
Now this is quite basic, its almost what you can consider a tangible like lightning source. I will note dive into this however, reason being there is only one canon jutsu with Plasma lightning, so not much to speak about the actual form and what it does, it is more about exactly the individual technique. Also Plasma is a official CE, so making customs on it or expanding it is very limited. The only noticeable trait taken is its solid like nature, able to take on forms much easier then regular lightning. However that is the basis of it shown, that would be all.
Lightning/Earth Form
Now this is seriously exactly how it sounds. Its lightning that surrounds earth material, or lightning that is shot out of earth material. The only major thing about this is it can be consider a dual threat and difficult to destroy due to the actual earth having chakra as well. The lightning itself remains with the same attack potency as well as usage. But its how the lightning is released, firstly it uses earth a conductor to release the lightning which is highly versatile since earth is every where around us. It's odd yes, but is deadly when coming to how and where it can be used. This means the very ground can produce lightning from under the opponent or even behind them. Note much canon wise, but can be expanded with customs if you take advantage of it.
Telekinetic Lightning
I know sounds super cool, it is actually. Now this is simple to explain, its just creating lightning around specific objects (these usually range from metal like objects, but can be used with earth for custom usage) and taking control of the object. That simple. Now how to use it is advance. When taking control of the object it would retain a certain amount of shock property and piercing capability. You can control its movement and its aim. However, when it comes to the canon list there is only 1 actual jutsu that use this property. It gives huge room for custom usage but canon wise it is extremely limited.
