Ok i know in these things people always say you are to assume that the characters are in their prime in these things

but sometimes it takes common sense to realise that sometimes both parties being in their prime is impossible

(i.e. Orochimaru vs Kabuto. Itachi vs Sasuke. Nagato vs Obito)

in theses fights its impossible for both sides to be in their prime. Someone will always have the advantage
(i.e Itachi's eyes, sasuke having ms cause itachi would be alive, Kabutomaru, Rinnegan)

So In these fights Unless its stated that both parties are prime. it is not ok to assume they are

i agree with this, unless the OP has said that both are in there prime then it shouldnt be just assumed... however if nothing is said about there power of any limitations then you have no choice but to imagine both fighters at there best

normally id agree but in the situations i stated its impossible for both parties to be at their best

it is with situations such as orochimaru vs kabuto
and sasukes vs itachi

however other times it shouldnt matter much
