My dogs and I would sense/smell as apart of the best sensing/smell clan, and so, I would stop my jutsu, and then when your sword comes, I counter with two kunais as my dogs try to bite your feet, as you concentrate on me, then as you slice, I block your sword with one kunai kick you in the stomach and then stab you in the arm with the other kunai

Creating an angled fissure, with you at the end, and also the deepest down part) that starts at the river, so the river itself and all the mud you created comes rushing towards you, and falls into the fissure, protecting me from all of it, as your ninja dogs would be drug under in the resulting landslide of the mudflow as well.
