By the way just because a person is worn out doesn't mean they are any less durable. If you go run 3 laps around your house then get hit by a car going 200mp/h it won't be much of a difference between you waking up and getting hit by a 200 mp/h car.
It did crush Obito's arm. When Minato used it on Obito and wrecked his shit into the floor his entire left side of his body was obliterated. And lets face it, Obito probably started intangibility as soon as his slow ass realized Minato was annhiliating him with the Rasengan, so we can make the assumption that the damage was at most 50% of what would have happened. But from the looks of his body and the connection... Obito probably would have died if it weren't for his ability to becoming intangible at will.
