Greetings!Today i will explain and show you my and my friends theory on Void Century (he doesn't have account here,real life friend)
Why are Marines hiding and so desperately want not to true history gets discovered?Are they hiding something really big?My answer is yes!
Marines are actually one big Pirate Group,I wouldn't say crew,better an corrupted evil organization!
This even Admirals or Akainu knows,only World Govorment officials that names are still unknown!
Poneglyphs are hiding that,so Marines don't want that this gets discovered,because world would come to end probably,that's why Nico Robin is dangerous,not because of ancient weapons,it's because of true history of Marines.
Maybe it's ancient weapons,i don't know,what do you think of this theory?

What Black Leg said. We've already learned that the "World Government" is composed of those "families" that overthrew the previous world rulers. Seeing as how the WG paint themselves as heroes, that kind of thing is bad press.
