1st i wanna thank Indora for providing me with VIZ scans...

Viz scans is weak translations.....


ok only thing u can complain in this thread is my bad english...thats why maybe i am not in better postion to talk about english translations...but its my writing of english that is bad and not my understanding...thus i am in good position to write this thread...


-all i want say is that VIZ scans are very hard to understand..they seem vague and not straight to teh point...they look like robotic google translations...it's very hard to understand context..


-however translations like mangareader are very simple and straight to teh point and very understanble....


to understand me plz notice well these 2 different translations of same tobidara scans from chapter 453 of naruto manga :

in Mangareader tobidara talking about rinnetensei he is clearly saying that Nagato should've used rinnetensei on tobidara to revive hiim....and i remember very well at that time everyone was kestioning weither tobi was alive or dead (edo).....we asked a kestion how can nagato use rinnetensei on tobidara when he was very much alive??

(btw tobidara here was speaking about his other dead part edomadara that nagato was suposed to revive)


-but in VIZ scans tobidara seems to be very vague...it's very hard and unclear what was teh purpose of nagato using rinnetensei (befor he betrays tobidara)...

what do you means with " gedo rinne rebirth that he developed for me and for such a thing.."??

they are just lenghtning a sentence but reducing it's meaning..

when tobidara says "developed" its as if tobidara already told nagato to revive him...it's like u r explaining a process or something....rather then explaininng teh true goal

teh sentence isn't clear....


but in manga readers its very straight and understandble he says "nagato was suposed to revive me with rinnetensei"


-ok this is just one of many many many exemples i've read of VIZ scan translating with vague not understandble translations...


if u know any better translations of naruto manga scans plz link me...

Man, your english is excellent, you're just being humble!
And yeah I think so too, Viz is the worst translation in some chapters but nicest in some chapters. The reason is they take too much liberty in translating that the text loses it's meaning. But the example in OP actually makes sense more in Viz, tobidara says its a jutsu devoloped for him and I think that's more correct because rinne-tensei is the rinnegan itself according to konan. She said "Nagato's eye itself is a jutsu" which makes me believe nagato made his eyes into a jutsu, to in the future use it on tobidara's counterpart. But other than this, I recommend manga panda which is most true to the japanese text and I think thats the only translation available right now because *********** closed in naruto manga.

One thread i can definitely agree with. An example that comes to mind is the VIZ translation of how Sasuke's 3T could see Naruto's future moves. Too vague unlike what we saw in other translations.

Mangafox and MangaPanda all have their days when the translations are okay or just on par with mangareader but never do they churn out such consistent work

I take both, then watch the anime to gain context and read the subtitles to add more clarity.

You wanna know what I think are google translations...your english. You claim to know your english sucks, but you haven't made any effort to improve your english. For instance, wtf is "TEH"?You should know by now it's "THE", which means you aren't paying attention.That's basic english..."teh"...where does that even come from, where did it even start?At first, I thought it was just a gimmick.

As for the viz/mangareader translations,

it just looks like it's a different way of talking, to me. Honestly, it's just that the "mangareader" translation is more concise.

Also, there's a difference because that's what "not being a plagiarist" is, or avoiding plagiarist claims...you can't copy word for word.

I don't read viz, cause they're too last minute, but they have to do things the "safest" way, since it's an actual company that has something to lose.Let's consider that...

If it's too similar, then it defeats the purpose.They'd have to have ways around being accused of plagiarism, being aware that other sites are ahead of them.

They're saying the SAME thing, in different ways. That's what two different interpretations are.

VIZ translations blows to an extent but the context stays the same thru the images.
like cmon you all saw how sasuke spared naruto in P1 we all saw naruto and sasuke both knocked each out out in p2. we saw how gai blow up jubi madara. we saw itachi solo every OP charater in naruto.... yet some readers complain/finds way to make use of small details to justifies their story of the bullshit that helps then sleep at night
