The bubble was attached to Tobirama and if completed it would've landed right on his mouth based on the panel directly right of it. Even if your interpretation was true, what Hiruzen said

Your interpretation would be taking the entire dialog out of context and my first point about the cracks, which you avoided.

Go back to the previous chapter, Suigetsu couldn't understand how a guy like him could be called "The God of Shinobi". He didn't see how a guy like him could be so unserious. Until he spiked his chakra. So Suigetsu's like " Now, I see why he is the God of Shinobi".


Having Viz Translation doesn't make everything correct. You still have to breakdown context of the characters.

Tobirama didn't say those words. The word bubble has no pointer or openings. They are Hashirama's words.

My perception of it was Hashirama warned him the first time to calm down he didn't listen, then Hashi rile up his chakra. Tobirama then obeyed

YOU never make any sense! That thought bubble over Hiruzen is clearly pointing at him.

Op that page was a bit confusing at first but its crystal clear.

Its true that the speech bubble is closed when it talks about raising chakra, therefore it makes it sound like Hashirama was continuing his statement. However below hashirama's statement is Tobirama who had a speech bubble however he didn't say anything, until later when he told hashirama to calm down. That was a continuation from tobirama's speech bubble which was below hashirama's.

Also note that whilst Hashirama refers to Tobirama as Toibrama.
Tobirama refers to Hashirama as Brother

Tobirama refers to Hashirama as 'Elder Brother'. And it makes no sense that the bubble is closed when it is Tobirama who is talking, no sense at all. What you said is just a baseless assumption.

If you look closely, you can see the thought bubble clearly points to tobirama. Also there is literally NO REASON for tobirama to raise his chakra levels, to use whatever jutsu he was gonna use. Meanwhile hashi raising his chakra levels to threaten his brother makes perfect sense.


And just because you have a viz translation, doesnt mean it is perfect.....NO translations, are perfect, as languages have many different words and meanings. For instance, lets translate more literally.


We watch a tv show about a topping for ramen, where the topping for ramen whirlpool/vortex goes and learns a spiraling ball. He has a scarecrow teacher, a flower teammate.


Just because viz puts more time into it, doesnt mean they make a perfect translation. It doesnt mean that they cant be wrong either. At this stage if you cant see that, then you are more arrogant, and stubborn than the people, who after extennsive flashbacks, still thought obito was someone else, or being possesed by like izuna or something.



Just accept the truth. Hashi broke the room by starting to power up. Deal with it. It is possible tobirama can do it as well, but in the manga, it was HASHI.

that was a bad analogy. there is a difference between a fan translating this stuff, compared to someone that's paid to translate.

Also, Hashirama doesn't call tobirama "Brother".. He calls him by his name. And also, the chapter is titled "HASHIRAMA SENJU". EVERYTHING in that chapter is about Hashirama.

The evidence that he can't be binded by Edo tensei , like the last time.. proves it was him who roused his chakra.

Depends on the translation...... lol. "Elder brother" and brother are the same.... Elder is a adjective... Brother is a noun. Saying "Brother" is still showing respect.
