Still dissapointed that it wasn't Hagoromo himself who beat him alone. Still dissapointed that he has a brother to begin with, how unnecessary. Anyways, I'm glad this is cleared up.

Well the Fruit is basically the full power of the Juubi, so it's not a big surprise that she's stronger than anything and or anyone.

It still technically de-hypes Hagoromo altogether. It hypes up the Juubi even more seeing that no single person can actually "solo" it.

I still don't see how Kaguya would be stronger. How in the heck would she beat omnyonton with chakra?

I disagree with Kaguya being strongest or stronger than even Jinchuuriki. If she was really that powerful, she would have faced the Juubi instead of her own sons. Furthermore, Ninjutsu was not invented during her time, and all she can utilize is chakra nothing more. We have no idea what sort of powers the fruit grants, and she very well didn't possess Rinnegan.

Hagoromo might have just said his mother was ''strongest'' as sign of respect to his mother. Not to mention, Hagoromo has no idea of modern day Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu. There is no way she is the strongest or even stronger than Juubi.

Well even though this is what it happened, my theory might still hold some truth after all. I mean Hagoromo's brother could seal after all, I don't know, the sage might have entrusted him the mokuton...

Hagoromo already confirmed it to be true. We don't know of her abilities, but it is coming first hand from Hagoromo himself. You asserting that she used just chakra is fallacious.

Actually, it's just another interpretation.

The relevant part of the raws read "それを己に封印した" which could be interpreted as "we sealed it in ourselves" or to a lesser extent, "sealed into myself". The latter because the whole page up to that point is speaking in a suggestive-plural form.

It's about time people learnt that the single non-freelance translator for Naruto at Viz adapts the manga to suit American audiences, and should therefore not be used in debate if you want pure accuracy. And Katsura, they take longer to come out because they have to hire a group of translators each week and then have to work in tandem to alter the text to make it more accessible and likeable by the American audience, making it less accurate overall. MS and MP are faster because they have a set team of translators ready at any time.

Thanks for posting this. I was getting really confused on where the other half of the Juubi was supposed to be.

I find it pretty ridiculous that the translators would mix up "me" with "us", but thanks for the scan.

Here's the text:

しんじゃのけしんである
十尾と闘い。。。
それを己に封印じた

The pronoun is 己 "onore". It sure looks like he is saying "me" to me. I don't know if it's one of those cases where it's the language being ambiguous, and the translators had to make a call, because it's possible that adding the suffix to make an "I" into a "we" might be optional.

She could've died sometime before the Juubi's rampage, that would explain why Kaguya did'nt fight it herself.

The Juubi wanted its chakra from the one who took it, who is Kaguya. However, it was stopped by Hagoromo and his brother [ ]

I feel like after she ate the fruit she had to have sealed the juubi inside herself or something along those lines. After she passed away and it re-spawned is most likely when they faced it. Even if she didnt seal it in herself she must've been doing something to keep it from coming after her for stealing the fruit. which means Kaguya > juubi/jin

The Juubi was sealed inside Hagoromo. Not her. Fruit is fraction of Juubi's power.

Yeah, but technically would'nt Hagoromo and his brother inherit the chakra from Kaguya?I'm of the opinion that she died and the Juubi went after her sons instead.

The scan refers to Juubi going berserk after the one who took its chakra referring to Kaguya.
