It is for losers. Even jokingly flirting is quite pathetic.

Sounds like you share some of the same ideas as the director of the new movie coming out. ( Her ) check out the link to see the movie trailer. It is basically about a guy who dates an (os) Operating System. In conclusion I agree with what the other members posted. Relationships in RL are definitely the way to go, but hey to each their own.

Surely! Please do enlighten me, to be digressive, there are other points to compensate for it, it still doesn't help, or does it now? And you just contradicted yourself, claiming. "To share our issues" and "find things in common" or "share your burden and feesl" most people consider that as personal. And moreover, having a gf who is a typewriter technically. Seems audacious and quite anomalous.

Especially if it involves into a selfie trade, HURR, Ima use his/her pic and troll NB. RAWR! And LOL blackmailing. Not always the case, but I'm just sayin. Share your personal issues and stuff, burden, things in common, a gf for that isn't neccasary, any good freind functions just as well.

HEY u think sharing ur real life pic on fb is safe. Atleast suppose on some site 2people met by name sasuke and karin and start chatting and become gf bf . So if they share like someone said this not in too much detail just overview so nobody get to know who r they insted of that if u chat like that on fb then there is probability that someone may use ur pic or chats against u. In real world people know who r u so if that happen then then u feel humilated bt in virtual world if this happen u can quit without knowing the real world people that what happen to u in virtual life. And its on easy to find ur real identity in virtual world. Btw to tell u this is only discussion neighter i tried it in past or i have intention to try it in future .i am satisfied in my real life. This is just many people do .so i want to discuss that issue.everything have plus and minus . I don't saying that ot does not hav minus points . If u r saying there must be spme . I just want to shre ur opinions with mine thats what this thread for.

That is quite anomalous, child. I can virtually see the amount of vibe emitting from your stuendously low intellectual post. I suggest you go to a strip club freind, lap dances and lesbian relationships usually cost 20 dollars per dance.

Speaking from experience buddy?

What qualifies as a bunch for you?

I can only think of one couple. Maybe there's another, I don't know, but I wanna know how many. Apparently there's a bunch!

i prefer to keep my naruto addiction seperate from my women addiction... i like them being seperate sites... online dating is very pointless. even if u connect with some one... its not reality its not a relationship. relationships are meant to bring to people closer and closer over time , untill they procreate and raise children together...thats wat a relationship is for... if a relationship comes to a block anywhere in this process, then it fails, and was not compatible from the start. being virtual and never meeting is a block at start. u cant fight reality. because if u stick to these virtual ideals. u will die alone with no kids and no legacy... if u are the type to have a virtual and reality relationship then u dont deserve either because u r mentally unfaithful, and likely to betray anyone around u on impluse . srry i wish i cud comfort ur ideals but, i wont lie to you and tell you virtual dating is okay. when its not.

That wouldn't be a good idea at all. As P3IN said, there are many mischievous people here. NB would become more of a high-school than it already is.

Now "serious" dating is a different issue. Personally, I don't care that much about what image I portray to people. However, if someone here was to seriously (meaning with plans to meet them) consider dating someone...

I'd tell them to make sure they meet the following criteria:

1) I recommend both being in their 20s+ (there's a lot of teens here that loves to gossip)

2) Make sure the person you're dating isn't actively participating in the forum. I know of a few members (men and women) who only log on to read the manga and read the discussions every now and then. There are many members who is as far away from NB as a member can get (without going totally inactive). Unless you yourself is a dishonest person, this minimizes the potential for rumors, and you can be pretty positive they aren't trolling you or setting you up, with the intention to talk about you to their NB friends.

Though I've seen few who have friends while not actually participating in discussions, don't be afraid to look at their convos if they do have a really small amount of friends. Offline, I assume you would observe how anyone treats others around them (let alone a person you're considering to seriously date), or how they talk about others.

3) Make sure you two have the means of meeting each other. Try to be practical as possible about the situation. Obviously, there are several members here who live in the same state or neighboring states, so this probably won't be much of a problem. In this case, it won't be much different from a friend saying, "Hey, I got this girl you may want to talk to.", then you two start talking over the phone, Skype, PC, etc.

4) Assuming you even care what other people think, keep the relationship a secret. There are people who will try to ridicule or belittle the both of you for it. Though most of these people are teens, NB is really not that different, from a high school. You might find a few adults who are more supportive and mature about the situation.

5) I recommend webcamming at some point (assuming you two don't meet first), if you two are very consistent at it, then even parts of their true nature will begin to surface at some point. You can read them through facial expressions, detect change in their behavior, their tone of voice, etc.

Of course there are exceptions to this criteria.

I think I covered the basics. This is just if you two are seriously considering dating each other. Other issues may arise if you two start seriously dating, and I'm obviously speaking from experience. I've conversed with the popular and the unpopular, the loud and the quiet. I've had relationships and I've had breakups. I've been "ridiculed" and "exposed". I've been all around NB, including the dark, scary closets (where all the secrets are).

I totally wouldn't recommend a group though, NB will get very chaotic.

Wall-E covered it with his wallie.

Personally, nothing beats face to face interaction. I've met people from the Base who live in the same area I do, and I think it's a fantastic way to build bonds through mutual interest and getting to know each other.

And you'd be surprised how things can be different. Online relationships don't really work. The only exception is if a couple who already know each other attempt a long distance relationship. I have friends who are going to university on opposite sides of the country that are making it work.

If you have the intention if meeting, all well and good, but it also requires a higher level of dedication and committment.

Nope, I don't even go on FB anymore and I never showed myself there, I've showed myself on NB tho. (Some people don't like to) And there's a difference between a social website and an anime forum. I'm sure everyone here has enough brain capacity to tell that. Well I'm not discriminating that those who are couples here. But just no. Like wtf? Just go on FB or any other social media website and browse across the anime groups, I'm sure there are plenty of girls who'll be your freind

NB is not needed for these sort of things, it's gonna create a commotion anyway. Unless you can verily, imply, that the people here are trustworthy and don't end up being d*cks for the sake of amusement. No, you can't do that, neither can I, nor can anyone. Sure, if you talk to him/her and find out, it's utterly a complete waste of time for you, to just cancel it and move on in hopes the next guy might be an uncircumcised prick. As well! Lel if you're eager and want to meet in real life, yup, wall-E covered that pretty well.

So if they share like someone said this not in too much detail just overview so nobody get to know who r they insted of that if u chat like that on fb then there is probability that someone may use ur pic or chats against

Stupendous! Like yeah sure, I mean you can do the same by being their friend

Let me guide you.

*send a friend request
*talk to that said person
*get to know him/her
*keep going with the flow

where does this virtual GF business come from? if you want someone to talk to, there's no need to feign that the person you're talking to obviously has to be a you're feigned GF. Rofl. It can be anyone lmao. Since it's practically all virtual, gender? I don't think it matters, I'll be honest, tho. I do have two friends here who I really trust. And are very kind, friendly and quite caring, After knowing them for over 8 months. And Btw they're not girls.

FB does not = an anime forum like wtf? Want a virtual gf? Then go to a different site or social website, sake!

In real world people know who r u so if that happen then then u feel humilated bt in virtual world if this happen u can quit without knowing the real world people that what happen to u in virtual life. And its on easy to find ur real identity in virtual world.

Quite informative

Sorry OP i don't agree . :(

I have always thought " virtual gf/bf" is wrong (expect if they actually meet)

You can be friends but not lovers.

Well if it's destiny that they would meet then no one can change that...well someone I know met online and well..
they fell in love and they met each other at a festival while they were chatting to each other.. they accidentally bumped into each other and oh well it happened in Dubai on new year.. they shared the first day of the new year together...so um yeah I don't think it's wrong. Dattebayo!

Not worth the time and effort. I don't agree with this, and never will. Online is not as controllable as RL. This would just go outta hand and is plain pointless to have an online/virtual GF. IMO.
