Joe Biden Sees 'No Legal Reason' Why We Can't Tax Violent Video Games.
It should be no surprise that these representatives*wanted to blame video games*as a significant contributing factor to many of these gun-related killing sprees as of late. Franklin Graham, son of the legendary evangelist Billy Graham, suggested that violent games should be taxed extra.
Biden “floated the idea that media and entertainment that portray violence should be subject to a special tax, with the proceeds going to help victims and their families” and said that “there’s no legal reason why they couldn’t” tax companies who make violent video games.
Eventually, he somewhat backtracked, saying that we need to study the effects violent games have on behavior, a project already greenlit by the Obama administration in the wake of Sandy Hook.
Still, it’s a more than a frustrating thought, having the Vice President not only agree with, but actually seem to promote a “sin tax” on violent games.
Your thoughts? I for one think its absolutely ridiculous to blame video games when there is no one else or nothing else to blame, that they need to plant it on something that makes "some sense" to the minds of the idiots.
Most parents will agree on this thinking it will discourage their kids from playing such games because they cannot monitor their activities everyday.
