Recalling the plotline of the Corporate Ministry, wherein the Undertaker and Shane McMahon joined forces with their respective stables (the Corporation and the Ministry of Darkness), and the reveal of the Higher Power as Vince McMahon himself, I was reminded of the ordeal what was Madara's transformation into Kaguya. There are differences, but overall the two incidents are reminiscent of each other.

At the time, Vince seemed to have gone Face. Although a long-time enemy of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and heel, he seemed to have abandoned that villainy and taken on the role of a face. However, at the time, the Undertaker was predicting the coming of a 'power greater than the Lord of Darkness', someone more evil than the Undertaker. With that in mind, everyone seemed under the impression that Shane McMahon was going to be the Higher Power, similar to how the fans of Naruto assumed Madara was going to be the final villain.

However, this was not the case. The Higher Power was revealed to be Vince McMahon himself, a complete shock to everyone who thought he had gone face. This reminds me of how unexpected Kaguya was, and how her appearance took the attention off of Madara entirely. Shane is also the son of Vince, reminiscent of how Madara is a direct descendant of Kaguya.

Discuss.
