Madara is doing it for all his dead brothers / his clan ... his broken promises to protect Izuna.. T_T & to prove his worth.
Obito is doing it for his dead friend RIN. promise broken by his other friend / rival for (kinda) killing RIN.
Oro wanted infinite knowledge.. twisted since he found a snake at his parents grave site. & Possibility they may come back. He was called a genius / praised since a child, yet was never truly victorious where it counted the most. T_T
Nagato forced to aid in killing his best friend. Wanted the world to feel the pain his friends endured till he died. Thought he had GOD's power.
no order... They all have nice reasons.. People just complain about Obito calling him a crybaby and accuses Rin of being the reason.. He sacrificed himself so RIN & Kakashi could live.. The only thing he had to look forward to returning home was killed in front of his eyes during his reunion with his friends. It was a promise broken by the promised . His rival/friend helped his dream lover commit suicide. His eye helped end a life he was trying to save. He was lied to about leaving and being trapped in a place he later found out he could escape just in time for it to be too late. to not matter.
