arrived at the outskirts of Kumogakure just in time. The first round of the tournament was about to begin, and he couldn't help but wonder why this specific location was chosen. He'd steered clear of Kumogakure since the Parthenon incident, but it seemed as if his faith was tightly intertwined with that of the place he had once called home. Zero shook his head dismissively in and attempt to brush aside that train of thought; he was here for one thing and one thing only. To fight.
For this event he sported his usual red and black ANBU mask that was fashioned after a wolf. Along with that he wore a pair of black pants and gloves, with a red form-fitting shirt underneath, which he covered with a black, high-collared, long sleeve mantle with red outlines that opened up towards the lower half of the garment. Around his waist was wrapped a simple red obi and black leather belt over it that holds his usual two swords in place. He glared through the slits in his mask towards the man who stood before him. It had been a while since he'd fought, and he was hoping that the man wouldn't let him down.
As his opponent arrives, Joel weaves a single handseal, creating a Shadow Clone besides him.

Upon impact, the clone can be dispersed.
Immediately upon creation, which takes almost no time at all, the clone performs a string of handseals and releases from its body a bright light that fills Zero's field of vision with nothing but a resonating blue hue, robbing him of his ability to see.

Description: After performing the following handseals Ram → Horse → Snake → Tiger the user will release a massive amount of lighting chakra which he uses to create a blinding light that appears to emanate from all over the users body. The light can blind any enemy that sees it but its main ability is that, through skill and precise chakra control and timing, the user can use it as a cover to put the enemy into a genjutsu by using the light as a decoy, preventing the enemy from noticing the genjutsu was placed.
Note: Can follow with any Genjutsu the user knows up to A-Rank but needs to have mastered Genjutsu. The user will need to effectively spend two moves, performing both the Lightning Illusion and the Genjutsu; the first only serves as a cover to place the second unnoticed

At the same time, Joel channels chakra down his arm, focusing the water molecules in the surrounding air. He thrusts forward with his palm open, aiming directly towards Zero's neck. The palm thrust generates a shockwave that travels through the air, invisible to the already blinded Zero. The shockwave would strike him directly in the middle of his throat, shattering the bones inside while causing it to jerk backwards, breaking his neck and propelling his corpse back into long range.

Description: The user will thrust one palm forward, aiming at a desired body part belonging to the enemy, causing him to be blown back by using the water molecules in the air to release a shock wave. Due to the water molecules being very little in size, only doujutsu is capable of actually seeing the shock wave being created. A regular ninja will think its a simple palm thrust. Once the shock wave connects, it will be difficult for the enemy to breathe normally for one turn, due to the impact. This palm trust is powerful enough propel large summon up to long range.

This caused three evenly spaced out pillars of fire to rise from beneath his opponent and his clone. The first pillar would come from beneath the clone just before it began the string of handseals, while the other two would rise behind and before the original. As all this happened Zero wondered for a moment how'd the two had started fighting without introducing themselves. Surely times had changed.

Alternatively, it can also be used on naturally present clouds around the terrain. As the clouds are formed in the terrain, wind coats the shape of the clouds, though the wind around the clouds is unique in the fact it takes on a semi-intangible state. To a normal eye the coat of wind around the clouds would go completely unnoticed other than the slight white sparkle it gives off and the slight distortion in the air above the terrain, though the chakra could be seen with a doujutsu or sensed by sensors. Once the technique has been activated it will stay coated on the chosen set of clouds and will move along with them if they so happened to move, seeing as clouds usually don't stay motionless. The coat also acts as something that keeps the clouds together as a whole, preventing them from scattering and becoming dispersed. With the air around the clouds being Semi-intangible, the rain or other liquids that are produced from the clouds will be able to fall down unscathed, as if nothing was lingering around the clouds at all. The wind only comes into play and reacts to energy based techniques, such as lightning, fire, or other wind techniques (this includes energy based CE/KG). This allows the wind to act as a defensive mechanism to these energies according to the strengths and weaknesses of them. The coat of air around the clouds would effectively prevent any lightning from entering or exiting the clouds without being stopped due to the strength wind has against lightning. Immediately after Joel creates his clone, he sees Zero raise his leg and stomp onto the ground. Very shortly after, Joel feels the ground below him begin to heat up, caused by the fire changing shape into the pillars below and starting to rise. Zero stomping the ground is enough to make Joel and his clone stop their original plan, knowing his action would yield results they'd need to be wary of. As the ground heats up, Joel's clone forms a single handseal, causing a gigantic mass of water to form underneath him and the clone. Sustaining the handseal, the clone has the water form span around them in a rectangular shape while lifting them a few feet into the air, creating a platform of sorts beneath them. As he does this, the clone also has sections of the water protrude outwards in four spear-like formations that pierce into the ground and travel over towards Zero. As he would be performing seals for the wind, the spears would erupt from behind him through the earth, charging towards him to skewer him from behind.

After performing the Dragon → Tiger handseals, this technique will summon a large amount of water near the user that will then be used to strike at the opponent in several versatile ways. Shizuku has been known to transform it into a dragon with a gaping mouth to attack though the user can shape it in any way he needs for his intended purpose. The water used will be stationary till it is sent offensively toward the opponent and as long as the user fuels it and the technique isn't fully negated, the Tiger handseal can be sustained and the water manipulated and used. The technique can also be used from nearby water sources, including low rank water techniques, for the same effect. Due to the immense control needed, the technique is considered a highly advanced use of water release, requiring the user to possess a primary water specialty to use.

As the water forms underneath Joel and his clone, a feat that would nullify the fire coming from below, Joel continues to punch forward, delivering the shockwave towards Zero's throat as planned, causing it to be shattered and launching his body backwards into the spikes that rush towards him. I could've sworn somebody said that by the time one begins "feeling" anything regarding the Flaming Pillar it's already too late for them to avoid or defend against them. If Joel were to feel anything it would be the last thing he felt before excruciating pain followed by incineration (unless you don't feel anything upon being turned to ashes, idk how fast it'd happen or if you'd feel anything, never been incinerated). I mean, by AJ's description one was directly underneath the clone and the other two trapped the real body between them from the front and back. Though I'm splitting hairs I suppose, ider who was the one who suggested that (thought it was Chris or Scorps, but meh).
The Rain Trench technique really should be updated imo. If it can only be used by members who have water as the primary specialty, meaning all techniques of that nature can be done w/ 1 hand seal, why does the technique specify 2 hand seals? Again, I'm splitting hairs.
AJ only made one move and from the looks of the tournament, he had until the 28th to make some other post. Typically don't like advancing people who only make a single move and basically stalled the entire progression of their fight, so I won't.
