I always wonder what it felt like to get your tailed beast extracted. Most die almost instantly when it gets removed, so what is it like? Quick & painless or maybe like a sudden heart attack? By Naruto's face expression it likes he went into instant coma. Whats your thoughts?

Gaara's bijuu was extracted slowly; Kurama was ripped away from Naruto with chains.

It makes sense that Gaara's life force seemed to slowly fade, while Naruto's impending demise was much faster.

I think it faster than falling in to sleep for non uzumaki. Humans are the only creatures that made death in to fear full thing.
