I have a Gigabyte ga-z77x-ud3h motherboard. I just recently moved and when I turned my computer on, my volume was extremely low. So I did some research and apparently it wanted the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website. So I did that and it still didn’t work. I tried the front ports on the tower case, I tried my own sound card and all 3 attempts either gave no sound or LOW sound.

I tried different speakers and they all have the same issue. The subwoofer seemed to work fine but both speakers just won’t give sufficient sound. I’m hoping it’s not a faulty motherboard issue.

Would a USB sound card be an option, or should I just replace the entire motherboard. Also, would doing a full reinstall help? Possible corrupt files? Please help.

reset the driver to factory, but tbh have u tried using different cables? if youre changing ports maybe its not the mobo, since that operates off of a header. I doubt both would be broken during the move,
