Like i've said the point of the fight was for Oda to establish the power difference between Fujitora and Sabo. Once established in the last chapters, there were no need to continue this. Sabo would not have lost in his arc introduction anyway and they both had common objectives

To be fair people could argue Oda is saving those fights for later down the line.
But I partially agree, I would prefer it if he would give us a high powered battle every now, i'm not talking about one an arc but idk. We haven't really seen at all anyone above Luffys level go out in a 1 on 1 fight of roughly the same power scaling.

Bro I no u wanted to throw in that...but you totally missed my point...the point is we need to see real fights not half assed fights all the time and cheap backstories....and if there was the big of a difference in power Sabo would have already lost instead of Fuji making a deal

Just wanted to throw this out there, no Admiral other than Akainu seems to care about fighting. Fuji left and said in another place he could have agreed with Sabo, Aokiji doesn't wanna fight and Kizaru seems like he knows his DF are enough to get through most fights so he doesn't care to fight unless it pushes him(or so it appears to me). This is in reference to you saying there's not much power difference, which I agree with. Admirals all have great power but low resolve it seems so a full out balls to the walls fight 1v1 against an admiral seems unlikely. I'd like to see more Supernova fights to be honest, Apoo vs Kid or Capone vs Navy etc. etc. why give us a roster that hardly sees the light of day?

*Fuji vs Sabo had no reason at all, why would fuji fight a big fight if he doesnt really care on fighting sabo? he is rooting for Luffy and dont forget his main reason is the abolition of the sichibukai system, the fight wasnt really a fight it was a skirmish caused by fuji in order for the dofla family to be destroyed, I dont get why would u want them to fight all seriously, a fight without a reason is bound to not dance to its conclusion.
Doflamingo's past and personality is awesome, would u want some sob tear jerking story for such an evil guy, do u want an Obito in one piece, I would ather not have it, an evil guy is and shall remain an evil guy , he thinks he is above average people he thinks himself as a special person, he wanted to buy slaves as kid, his peronality is terrible and terrible guy, probably the worst guy we have seen in OP, its the nature of an celestial dragon, I dont get fans these days, the chapter was awesome, unlike kishi, Oda always sticks to a characters personality , whether its evil or good a character shall remain like that, but instead u want some good guy turn into evil because of a crush, man stop it, this thread itself doesnt make sense at all.

He means that if you wanted to see Fujitora's full power, Koala would have needed to peel Sabo of the ground because he would be a revolutionary pancake.
Have you seen how Sabo looked after the skirmish and how Fujitora was on the otherside of town playing with his dice unharmed ?
You can't expect to see admirals go all out half way through the story. The are end game material. Everyone could have predicted that the fight wouldn't finish.
It took Aokiji losing a leg and his whole body being burned off for that fight to stop between him and Akainu...a couple of scatches and bruises ain't enough for me to concede the Sabo would have got demolished. I'm not denying Fujitora would have win ..but not in the fashion u think or would like
And lastly i knew this fight wouldn't have a winner but I just wasn't please about the way it ended..it felt random as hell

I like these two posts - Kami what you're saying is pretty spot on and so if fireplay
but I think this chapter was good and it was good that kishi didn't show a beaten Sabo, btw I agree that naruto was great

I respect Oda for not giving us a fight just for the sake of giving us a fight, I wld rather watch an Ussop vs Gashed Albion fight if they r going all out than a fight between 2 top tiers who aren't really trying.
It wld have been bad to add more panels to a fight that has no meaning to it, wrapping up Dressrosa is better than stretching it on for me.
As for DD's backstory, its k for me coz he was a CD and all he has done from then was in line with him trying to attain a position similar to the one he had before his dad quit the CDs, so its k for me and there is still stuff about Corazon(1&2?) and the incident 13yrs ago so all in all Oda didn't fumble the ball here and he isn't going for hail marries like kishi and Kubo(though going by that sales thread the latter's seem to b connecting) neither so its quite good displays for me.
