The gas covered almost an ENTIRE FLOOR. It can reach Vergo. Unless Vergo can constantly blow air out, the gas is gonna get to him.
Did I say Magellan could beat the Logia Trio? No, but that doesn't mean that if Magellan was a Marine, he wouldn't be able to become an Admiral. I believe Magellan has what it takes to be an Admiral because of the amount of repsonsibility that comes with being a warden to the world's greatest prison that holds the world's most dangerous criminals.
Law isn't beating Magellan. Magellan's poison gas would disorientate Law and distract him for a blow, the same way Vergo squeezing his heart left Law susceptible for a blow. Magellan took down Teach, you think Law>Teach, even Teach without Yami Yami, the same Teach that defeated a Yonko's commander? While Law has that circle appear in his hand, Magellan spews out gas. Gas reaches Law by the time Room as formed and spread, Law is blind and coughing, Magellan hits him with a Hydra.
