i saw the movie the other day, it was cool to see that Vegeta's Super saiyan 1 was able to surpass Goku's Super saiyan 3, because of bulma.

No don't over hype it, this was just Vegeta's base ssj form, this kind of stuff happens all the time in DBZ when dramatic events happen. Take Vegeta's final flash vs perfect cell for example.

I overhype nothing. At least it's more logical to think this way than thinking that Vegeta surpassed Goku with SSJ1 alone when he was 2stages behind him

Vegeta always had better stamina than Goku, he lasted longer in SSJ2 against Kid Buu unlike Goku who needed SSJ3 to survive.

Vegeta SSJ2 >= SSJ2 Goku

To say he was close to SSJG is just not smart. He surpassed a SSJ3 Goku yes, but SSJG isn't attained through an emotional power-up. You need 5 pure hearted Saiyans to transfer their energy to you..Goku was only able to regain SSJG because he already had that power.

I wouldn't even say he surpassed goku, but faired better. What I mean is that goku didn't take his fight all that seriously, it was a friendly spar session. Vegeta on the other hand was enraged and took it all completely seriously, giving his all I'm a short period of time. Ssj1 vegeta can't be stronger than a ssj3 goku.

Its been Vegeta>Goku for a long time. Vegeta beat goku in both fights hes 2-0 against goku. and we all seen SSJ2Vegeta hit bills and goku was ssj3 and lost in 2 hits
