and my valentines is on the other side of this planet right now...
is there anyone here who knows any sweet ideas of how to celebrate/surprise this person?
even though we're not going to be able to physically meet? we won't be able to skype either
stupid internet over there

Yeah XD.. Just write it like this *gives you flowers, chocolate, insert whatever you want* you could edit a card. Post a pic in card where you are making heart with your hands. That would be perfect.

i was thinking that i'd buy flowers and take a photo of myself with them, and then write a "love-letter" and send the picture

Just do as I say make cards with your photo and send them. If you have their photo then take three pics one - your making signs that show 'I'
2- make a heart sign. 3- hold their pic making your best pose.

If he/she doesn't have internet then an E-Card won't help much. I would just write them a letter, maybe put in some candies with it. Reschedule Valentines Day for when they return, the specific day is of little significance.
