The Uzumakis were priests who preformed exorcisms on demons, remember they were the only clan who could perform seals, so the Sage went around the world exorcising demons(sealing) the demons most likely came from the Juubi using creation of all things. The Uzumakis are natural born Demi gods(they were wiped out & spread across the world)

The Juubi is Senju and Uchiha, it's Mokuton creates life, it's eye, sees that that life has existence. Simple stuff.

Madara found out his true lineage is from the Juubi & developed the "Sephiroth complex"
