Possessing Hagoromo's sealing talent was a big opportunity to make them weapon specialists of the highest caliber. They could have used their fuinjutsu ability to make enchanted weapons similar to the Sage's tools, Itachi's spirit weapons and Minato's kunai.

I think they did in fact possess such weapons and it's one of the reasons they were so feared, when you look at what a single seal did for Minato, it made him and Tobirama borderline god tier, imagine what type of seals Uzumaki prodigies would have been able to develop.

Maybe Orochimaru's Kusanagi sword is one of the remaining artifacts that originally belonged to Uzumaki since it was meant to be a direct counter to Totsuka, a Susanoo weapon.

That along with Sage tools and FTG seal are examples of how broken Naruto's clan would have been and why they were targeted first long before Uchiha.

Ok, so a few corrections:

1.The Totsuka Sword wielded by Itachi Uchiha's Susanoo is also said to be a "Sword of Kusanagi", although this has been commonly mistranslated as it being the "perfect counter" to the Sword of Kusanagi. You were simply citing a known mistranslation, and even then you were citing it backwards.

2.FTG is space-time ninjutsu, and has nothing to do with Fuinjutsu. The markings it uses to teleport are considered part of the "jutsu formula" and are not seals. they do not seal anything.

The totsuka blade and some of the sage's tools are definitely good examples of how powerful fuinjutsu can create a near unstoppable weapon. Like you said, the Uzumaki's potential was vast and who knows what kind of effect on the series they would have had if not destroyed.

The Uzumaki were not as strong as they are made out to be. You have to remember that they were wiped out during a time of war, meaning that their enemies forces had been stretched thin already. It was more of a situation of fear on the parts of Kumogakure, Iwagakure, and Kirigakure than the Uzumaki's being too powerful.

If they really had reached a level of sealing worthy of three nations being worried about, thinned out forces would have never destroyed them. Coupled with the fact that the Uzumaki had their own village, it doesn't seem like they were that strong. With the power of seals they should have been able to sense the enemies coming and could have taken care of them easily.

Bro stop the fap the sealing jutsu can be learnt And replicated they're nothing special in and of them selves. That's why they classified the best 1's as hidden jutsu what most people forget hidden jutsu aren't written down and are transmitted orally to keep them hidden.

And kishi doesn't miss anything he wrote the manga and databooks how he viewed it not how we vieww them or want them to be.

I have a few thoughts on some things being different but I'm not the writer am I.

Fuinjutsu is not only to seal somethinf in it. Fuinjutsu has to do with everything with the letters like in the kunai. That is fuinjutsu seals on it.
