I highly doubt we're going to see any power-ups from her. Something will happen to her, but it'll probably be a very minor event.

What makes you think that if Sakura is completely underdeveloped, our main heroine, that Karin, some side character the majority of the fans don't even like, will get decent development? Especially in the middle of a war.
