The Uzumaki clan symbol is deeply minunderstood by the fans of the Uzumaki clan and also the theorists of the "UZumaki clan is SO6P's clan". They believe it to be a normal spiral or w.e. However it is not.

Now lets take a look at that symbol

As you can see the symbol is made of :

A circle, with the blue colored in , and then a little swirl in the middle.

Now lets look at their Name and the name of the place they are from: Land of Whirlpools , and Uzumaki (which can also mean whirlpool)

Their clan symbol is a whirlpool.... the blue color representing the water and the little swirl representing the whirlpool itself.

So please stop trying to make every god damn spiral in the manga related to the Uzumaki..

And also this:

looks nothing like the swirls around the statue..In fact they are more related to Sasuke's new amaterasu jutsu with Susano'o.

You present a fairly reasonable argument with acceptable premises and points. Well-explained.

Look at the one on his shoulder it looks like the uzumaki swirl
I thnk the others represent that he's overflowing with life-force and yang chakra

check again.. the swirl is totally opposite. And nor it is in a circle. The Uzumaki clan swircl is inside a complete circle

I agree, but if you rotate the Uzumaki symbol around, it does look like the Sage's swirls. I agree with the other point, though.

It doesn't matter. Thats like messing up a whole symbol.. that is the literal definition of the phrase, "Twisting the manga fact".

I'm not saying that the sage was an uzumaki but I do think that that picture represents the seal that naruto has he even has the tomoe necklace

Good points, I'd be dissasapointed if the sage was related to the Uzumaki clan.

Well kinda a good point. Although, that guy looks nothing like the so6p, or even a man for that matter.

He is the reincarnated SO6P. o-o. He is quite different from the rest of the Uzumaki. And also, Uzumaki are also descendents of the SO6P, so of course they would have some influence. Sasuke's Amaterasu matches those swirls more tho.

Same, it would go against a whole lot of said stuff about the Uzumaki.

Don't know why people claim him to be the SO6P either X_X

Your propositions are logical and points well played. Personally I also support this reasoning, nice thread.

he obviously resembles the sages body he's an uzumaki who has life-force each time he got kurama's yang chakra he resembled the body more
look what it says for amaterasu in the wiki and the third databook it says this
it is said to represent the material and "light"symbolizes yang

that's why amaterasu is also a swirl like that

The only support you are going to get for this is from the people who don't believe the Sage was an Uzumaki, who happen to be the minority.

O-o are you blind sir?

i thought i explained it pretty clearly in the theory i made

How exactly does that make him resemble the younger son more? lol.

Bro, Kishimoto has made alot of swirl symbols. Even the Konoha symbol has a swirl in it.

"Yang" is not symbolized by a swirl.

it makes him resemble the younger son because the younger son has the sage's body,life-force,and yang chakra
each time naruto gets kurama's yang chakra he resemble the sage's body(younger son) even more
the sage's body is overflowing with life-force and yang chakra just like naruto's did to hashi's mokuton

naruto has the same seal as the sage and that's why i think those swirls represent yang chakra overflowing
i thought that the swirls for amaterasu were like that because what it said in the databook about material world and light which is what yang could mean and that's why kishi drew the amaterasu like that
