Here's my thing. We don't know the truth. But the uzamaki can be a bi-product of both bloodlines being mixed again. What was once split into two brothers. Was made one again. The uzamakis. This could explain why u need both bloodlines to have the rinnegan. Also why pein was so adept using those eyes. If the uzamakis were just distant relatives of just senjus. Then why can pein so effectively use the rin on such a high level. I also want to add that neji made a remark to naruto in part one saying he had better eyes than him. Now I know neji meant it in a different way. But maybe kishi foreshadowed something.

I don't think so at all..look again rinnegan is a ripple like pattern going out from the center, this pattern is spriling in towards the center...

yes it makes sense cause the only way an Uzumaki can get the Rinnegan is to have Uchiha Dna introduced back into the pot, which the So6p got from the juubi...makes perfect sense to me I am a believer

There has been a lot of talk about Sasuke getting the Ancestor Eye lately, well I was lookin at manga scans and pics and the Ancestor eye looks a lot like the Uzumaki Clan symbol I was wondering if anyone has any theories surrounding the resemblance of the two? I do not have any theories myself just took notice and wanted to see what you think!!

It's because the Elder Son's Eyes' spiral pattern is an ocular manifestation of the Jinchuuriki Seal of Rikudou Sennin on the Juubi

Given that the Uzumaki Symbol is inspired by the Whirlpools of the Land of Eddys, and for the sake of argument we agree on the premise that Rikudou Sennin was an Uzumaki and the Uzumakis lived in the land of whirlpools, would it not be a possibility then that the Sealing Jutsu design pattern the Rikudou used was modeled by the Rikudou Sennin himself after the whirlpools of the land he inhabited in?

Senju DNA +Uchiha DNA = Uzumaki DNA, Not Hybrid. Reverse Engineering back to the SO6P.
