misleading? no. in fact obito just got the rinnegan and summoned gedo for the first time we've seen and he used it better than nagato ever did. In fact obito taught him the rinnegan techniques yet he's better overall.

my point being is that at least madara+obito could get gedo mazou off the grou/nd and stomping ppl. BUt healthy nagato couldn't even get gedo above waste line.
