[Discussion] Ussop- The genius with an inferiority complex.

I think Ussop is actually all he pretends to be but the thing is he's developed some sort of 'I can't' fear, so whenever he is praised or someone believes him he simply accepts it because in his mind it's true anyway and he doesn't have to deal with his fear either. Like during the Dwarff battle(poisoning sugar) when all the dwarves believed him and when they were being beaten he came back since he can't really bear the weight of misleading others- i.e He is no liar-just a coward(in a sense). This would also(it does) explain his Sogeking character who without hesitation shot down World Government Flag(a brave act) and also took down the marines on Hopeless bridge(?) from a distance where bullets couldn't even reach. During the fight with DF user Cp9 giraffe he planned to run but Sogeking told him what he actually is brave and capable-his true self. The mask is his way of dealing with his fear. He's certainly shown the skill by taking down sugar with trauma delivery Ussop face in the last arc, so there's that.

Now what is your opinion on Usoop do you think he's like I said a genius with an inferiority factor or just a coward who talks big and is finally manning up? My opinion is correct but since I presented it I have to be humble and ask for your opinion and keep an open mind, so I will do that.

Usopp is amazing and I don't get why people hate him so much.He will be better than his father is and im no even joking.

When u really need Usopp he is there no matter what could happen.

Ussop could be the strongest character in the Manga, but I think its that sense of inferiority that places him in a corner.

i don't think ussop has a sence of inferioty or fears others much as he used to anymore after the time skip.before people had to force ussop into battle but no we see that he take things it to his own hands whend needed.ussop is the starwhat who's got most character development for me.i think after this arc theres's no doubt that ussop is above nami

Hopefully Oda doesn't put him above Nami.

she can take the battls after vs franky to mid diff and nami hasn't been useless like sakura at all.without nami they cant travel and shes also very intelligent,also despite luffy being the captian nami's the one alaways giving all the orders.sakura was completely faking useless in every faking way but nami has done lots of important things for the crew and even saved the lifes of crewmates on ocassions.

Usopp is a boss. He has been punching above his weight since he joined the crew and often gets beaten senseless but he survives and gets stronger. People that say he's weaker than nami confuse me.
