It's not too far, Danzo and Sasuke were at the pillar which is about a few meters away. I give him the same range has he did here.

That isn't exactly short range either, which was my point. It's easily above 50 feet.

Okay, so that means Tobious can hide behind a rock and warp somebody short-mid range undetected.
