I'm not sure it does. You just have to be smart and i guess a genjutsu type to be decent. Even with the mizukage references it he only points out that he has yin element so he uses genjutsu.

I don't think chakra control is related to casting genjutsu. But since its affected the flow of chakra within someone i could see chakra control being useful for breaking genjutsu. I dunno though. Never seen much talk about genjutsu in the series like that
Great chakra control is useful for breaking genjutsu no doubt about that.

But I don't see why would Sharingan users or Tayuya need great chakra control for their genjutsu.

Please don't double post. I think I must report you know.

OT- It was stated by Jiraya that you need a high intelligence and in the databook it was mentioned that a good chakra control is required.

No one answered the question. Breaking genjutsu Requires Power. Jiraiya's claim = Apply more Power than the Chakra controlling your Nerves and try to Stop the entire Chakra flow. Then the illusion will be broken. Chakra control is needed for casting, not breaking genjutsu.

It should be. Genjutsu, after all, is just controlling the chakra in the opponent's brain to make him see and feel the stuff you want to. Regardless of how pretty the illusion is made, a certain degree of chakra control is necessary to carry it out. I would guess that the strongest / fastest genjutsu would require more chakra control.

Genjutsu breaking requires using more power rather than
Better chakra control as stated in Jiraiyas explanation.

That's a misunderstanding you need chakra control, the more delicate it is the more easier it is to break free from illusions. Naruto has powerful chakra (cause of kyubi) yet couldn't break free from genjutsu. Sakura doesn't but has excellent chakra control and could.

Why didnt Jiraiya say that? He said you need to Apply more power to stop your chakra Flow. Nothing else. Where is Chakra control even Remotely mentioned in his statement?

Explain why somebody with weak chakra (Sakura) can break frree from genjutsu and somebody with strong chakra(Naruto) can't?

Also could you let me know which chapter Jiraiya makes this statement. Thanks.
