Useless jutsu?

Muu is a boss and all, but I fail to see the wisdom in his Fission jutsu

After that, he's completely unable to use his most valuable asset:

Once he's split he's so vulnerable. If one of him gets sealed (like he did) then it's game over!
Can his particles even regen? LOL

The risk:reward ratio is too high.
What do you guys think?

Pretty much any jutsu that's not used by Naruto, Sasuke, or Madara is useless since there is no balance in the series.

its pretty useful in theory. since its not a clone the other half wont dispel

he can fail an assassination/lose a battle badly ...but still escape w/ good info using invisibility & flight...
...recombine at full power & come back.

obviously, it isn't primarily a defensive jutsu when U factor in the rest of his skill set
hes arguably the most haxx of the non sage-level characters imo

I guess it depends on your overall end goal. If it's your goal to kill as much as possible, it's a stupid move. But if it is your goal to gather intel, or in this case provide a marker for Madara, it would be your best choice.

True. I guess in a life or death pinch it'd be a good last resort... I just think he'd be wayyy better off with substitutions or KB

What I don't understand is why he was so surprised by this fact, is that the first time he's ever tried it? I understand readers sometimes need an expose but have Oonoki do it say he must not be able to use jinton while split or something don't make Muu look like he doesn't even know how his own moves work.

Muu is from an era where only earth & water clones existed (aside from the secrets of the senju bros.)

elemental clones are much weaker than shadow clones & have none of the benefits

the only weakness to body split is, as plot would have it, a sealing jutsu~

I believe Kabuto was in control of Muu when he attempted the Jutsu. Which explains why he was surprised when it didn't work.

Look at the bottom 3 panels again. He has a shocked expression "!?" then his jutsu disappears then he says "While my body is split I can't use my Dust techniques...!"

Muu should know better than anyone what moves and all he can do in his forms. It was placed there as an expose for the reader is all but they chose a poor character to give it. It makes Muu look amateur.
