This is just shocking... I mean i knew it was bad, but this just puts things into a whole new perspective.

I would like to hear what you guys think about this. Especially from the Americans on the site. Has your government made these numbers available to the general public? How have things changed in the US to curb your spending after the start of the recession? And how do things stand now? Or are you all just back to business as usual?

Let me put it to you this way - your all coming to the end of your school holidays aren't you. How many of you went on a spending spree or went away for your school holidays instead of trying to consolidate some of your debts?

You know what gets me - even with all this, there are still billions of dollars missing from "Bank Bailouts" and neither the US government or the federal reserve knows where the hell it went... or so they say...
Someone in the Fed or the Gov is pocketing big bucks IMO...

I got so many things i could say on this subject, but i'll keep it short. Instead of remaining "United" States of America we become divided, that was our downfall. I don't blame one particular side of Republicans/Democrats, what i'm saying is both sides need to get their stuff together & stop playing the blame game on msnbc/foxnews etc. In the end it's the working people who suffer the most if this mess isn't sorted out.

Also that debtclock website you posted is nice. I been checkin it out since March, if anything they should have been worried about the debt earlier this year. U_U
