Urahara helped visored, isshin, Aizen(Aizen couldnt make successful hogyoku so he helped him), Ichigo,Chad, Orihime, Renji, Soul society, captains(to retrieve their bankai),etc because he likes to help. Well, according to Buddhism (Lord Buddha,Siddhartha Gautam) lore, Guan Yin made a vow to help everyone. And should s/he ever feel disheartened by helping other, her body should shatter to thousand pieces. Thats what s/he vowed. And not being able to do so, her head shattered but a buddhist monk helped and gave him thousand hands to help everyone. And there is Buddha with thousand arms. That may be his ability. His Bankai must be too OP.
