It's set like a decade or longer after the time skip of the original series. Eva is only surviving member from the original series I really thought it was a nice retrospect especially dealing with Eva's morality painful to outlive your friends and seem them die off over and over again. This pay's a nice homage to the previous series but there not the main focus it's a lot different lil more on the serious side and going to be more of battle shounen than harem which the author said he has wanted to do for a long time. Which is good one of the reasons I liked this so much he's not repeating the same formula over again. Milking would be slapping another harem together but even with all the fan service the last half of Negima Journey to the Magic World arch all the back story on tree of life and negi's parents and battle Megalosembrian army reuninting the girls who got taken as slaves. There was serious story lines witha lot of tension. 100x better than Fairy Tail there is no comparison story wise with it's random nakama power ups and other friendship beat all bull. I like ft but just cant go there does not have the same substance.

If your a fan of ken Akamatsu and his works dont see how you couldnt love this I loved that tower concept cant wait to see what will happen in new Tokyo

I thought that Megani was decent and I read it because the lack of good mangas, however at the end it got quite good. I am glad to see Evangeline back.
