... Well let's hope he will just die and that would be the end of it. He still gets freedom from the cycle of birth/death/heaven/hell.
Or since he didn't do it on his own and didn't really use it with the intention of using a death note the rule may not affect him. It's not like shinigami told all the rules and secrets of the DN to Light.
But it's not a cycle. After death, it's either Heaven and Hell and that's it. It's eternal life, but this guy, who seemed to be a noble guy, probably would've ended up in Heaven, spending an eternity of his life in happiness and with his wife too :/
The second part can be true. He didn't knowingly use the Death Note. There is a flaw in that reasoning though. If the effects of not going to Heaven or Hell were based on simply knowing and being aware of what he was doing, then that means killing people using the Death Note would also require him being aware of what he was doing. He didn't know that he was using the Death Note, but he still ended up killing the members of the FBI
So with that, I conclude that Raye is simply nothing now. He doesn't exist. He can't enjoy eternal life because there is no more Raye. He can't be upset about it either because he doesn't exist. I swear to God (pun intended — Or is it a pun, even if it's not funny), this is why I hate the idea that once you die, there's nothing left, it just scares me. Which is pointless to be, considering I wouldn't care once I am dead, because I wouldn't feel.
WHY LIGHT! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GIVE THE MOST CRUEL PUNISHMENT TO THE MAN WHO DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG?!
I swear this entire post messed with my feels and now I'm stuck in some major philosophical and spiritual thinking now where I have to question the universe. Don't get me wrong, I love doing that and having debates on the things that we will never know the answer to, and really making myself think. But my head and my heart just always conflict even when they agree.
Dear Lord, somebody hold me ;_;
