Uploading a Render

Okay well I'm having issues uploading a render I made in Gimp. I got rid of the background and saved it as a png file but every time I upload it into my albums section it shows up with a white background. I've done this before and haven't had issues with it so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Any ideas?

Because it's transparent it obviously takes the background color that you have applied?

I had the same problem. There are two types of png files. One shows transparent and one doesn't, I think so. I just read it somewhere on google long time ago, I'm not sure. =/

Did you add an alpha channel?

You need to set it up to "Interlaced"

Right now its just the image I rendered sitting on top of the checkered gray background, which I think is the alpha channel.

I'm a noob with GFX so not sure on all the lingo.

If so I just tried that and it didn't work.

Hmmm,i had the same problem when i was working on After Effects.
Don`t know what to say,i never found a solution to that either.

Although,i have an advice,GIMP is 70-80% like Photoshop,try using PS.
