Okay so i've finally decided to start upgrading my computer, me being a cheapskate however i've been trying to get a cheap setup that could hopefully satisfy my gaming needs. I've decided to first start on graphics cards since mine sucks ass and my friend who is setting up a fancy high-end computer decided to give me his old graphics card.

However, he's selling it to me and not just giving it to me for free so i need to know if this new graphics card could improve my gaming experience.

Heres the specs of my current Graphics card :

Name : Generic PnP Monitor on Intel HD Graphics
Current Resolution 1440x900 pixels
Work Resolution 1440x860 pixels
State Enabled, Primary
Monitor Width 1440
Monitor Height 900
Monitor BPP 32 bits per pixel
Monitor Frequency 60 Hz
Device \\.\DISPLAY1\Monitor0

Intel HD Graphics
Manufacturer Intel
Model HD Graphics
Device ID 8086-0152
Revision A
Subvendor Intel (8086)
Current Performance Level Level 0
Driver version 9.17.10.2867

(I used this software called speccy which tells me my specs)

The graphics card my that my friend is willing to give me is a NVIDIA 9400 GT 512MB for 450 INR (about 7 US Dollars!) and my question is will this graphics card improve my overall gaming experience on games compared to my old graphics card.

Here are some examples of certain games which i hope might get improved with this new graphics card

1. GTA IV
2. Assassins Creed IV
3. Outlast
4. Deadpool
5.Assassins Creed Brotherhood

(Im a huge AC fan which is why i placed 2 AC games i wanted)

Please help me out here, +rep for the most helpful comment.

That card is old, and really not a good one.

You won't be able to run any of these games. Maybe with everything on low, but there's no point in that.

Sounds like an integrated solution.

What is your computer's processor?

buy PS3 or PS4 you can say whatever you want but computer cant compare With PS3

why you need low resolution, small monitor , uncomfortable position when you are playing.

With PS3 you dont have this problems, you can lay on couch and enjoy.

You can buy PS3 on loan ( I dont know is this right word but I mean when you are paying every month ) if you dont have enough money

I believe it would be slightly superior in comparison to your CPU's integrated graphics.

For that price, it is not bad at all.

Slight huh? Well i guess thats okay for now, compared to my current graphics card and the graphics card im willing to buy, which could run GTA IV or Assassins Creed Brotherhood better? I just wanna know since im getting those games this christmas and i want to play them with as good as an experience as i can.

They should work, somewhat, at the very least.

GTA IV is very CPU hungry, AC: Brotherhood should be easier to handle though.
