UPCOMING 3ds games??? (Is the handheld Dead)

Hey guys, been playing my 3DS happily got 5 years or so now and just became aware that it's the same 3-4 timeless games that i've been playing all this time.

-Restart a save file on Fire Emblem: Awakening

-Animal Crossing: New Leaf

-Forever replaying Pokemon games

-If I wanna get a lil weird with it i'll throw in Tomodachi Life



Are there any upcoming games I should get? Is the 3DS library dead? Whats your fav games I should get?

9 quid is extortionate for virtual console haha- my gameboy colour still works just fine ;D

Any upcoming stuff? There's Gen 7 obvs but that's a while off

As someone with only Pokemon and Naruto games on his Nintendo devices, I will have to sadly say Taiga doesn't know...

Well, handheld consoles in general are on their deathbed and as the smartphones rise in power, handhelds will be buried deeper and deeper.

Nintendo themselves stated that they see their future in smartphones and toys rather than their own consoles wich have become more irrelevant then ever before.

With all that said, Nintendo's lack of motivation to bring anything new to the table and instead keep on recycling well-known themes has been a constant subject of criticism for a long time now. It's nothing new.

I got Resident Evil Revelations, Smash, Pokémon X, Pokémon Omega Ruby, Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX, The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D, The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D, The Legend of Zelda a Link Between Worlds, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario & Luigi Paper Jam, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Megaman Legacy Collection, all of wich are great games. And I still have a lot more but most of them are rpg lol, anyways my point is there's a lot of good 3DS games out there you just gotta look for them the library isn't dead. And there's more on the way, Kirby Planet Robobot, Monster Hunter Generations, Pokémon Sun and Moon etc.

If you liked Fire Emblem you'll probably like Devil Survivor. Devil Survivor Overclocked and Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker are enhanced 3DS versions of the original DS games with added storylines.

If you liked Pokemon you'll probably like Shin Megami Tensei 4. It's also a ''monster catch/collecting'' game, only Megami Tensei existed way before Pokemon. Due note that Shin Megami Tensei is known to be somewhat difficult.

If you liked Animal Crossing you might like Rune Factory 4. If you know Harvest Moon, it's basically that in RPG form. It's a farm/city sim with RPG gameplay.

2016 releases for 3DS that you might also want to check out:

Zero Time Dilemma (Third part of a story heavy franchise that will force you to play the previous two)
Final Fantasy Explorers
Project X Zone 2
Fire Emblem Fates (I mean, I assume you liked Awakening)
Bravely Second (Sequel to Bravely Default)
Monster Hunter Generations
