I agree with this one, so your father don't choose you to be the one who will bring peace? i better make a war, that will make him reconsider

Everybody knows that the first born son is supposed to inherit the kingdom. But sage selfishly chose Asura for his side reasons, and expected the guy who's right has been violated to just suck the other guy's ass. It's especially frustrating when Indra was clearly stronger than Asura yet sage chose Asura. Imagine this guy who can't do anything for himself (sage even admitted that he couldn't and needed others) gets to be your leader purely coz daddy thinks it's cool not to be able to do nothing for yourself, whereas you've worked hard your whole life and proven yourself adequately. I'd also be pissed

I definitely agree with this. The war was waged against Ashura. Others had a choice to abandon him. The Sage had no right to disinherit his bright son over someone as dim-witted as Ashura. It seems that he pitied the fool.
