Anyone else agree that DB > DBZ?

I honestly think the Original is one of the best Animes to ever exist.

DB had a deep and enriching plot(what is this? what is that? who am i? what am i?). Dbz was just a basic plot(more villains lets train and fight them with the power of friendship) with tons of unchoreographed fighting that literally went on for hours.

Well that's not entirely true. I am a huge DBZ fan actually a huge Dragonball fan. I have watched all of the series including GT(BS filler crap) and I like both DB and DBZ but I like DBZ better. But in all honesty they are not really separate at all. They are both just Dragonball the DBZ was created by the anime studio to help with the Time skip kinda like Naruto did with Shippuden.

I think the biggest problem with peoples view of DB is that when it first came to the states instead of starting out on DB they went right into DBZ and that's the show that got people hooked and it was pretty hard to go back to pre-SSJ DB as the fighting wasn't as epic..
