Kawaki is not a shinobi. I guess you could say that he is trained in the fashion of an Otsutsuki. He is not a chakra based fighter but the karma seal and ninja technology combine to give him a fighting style that is beyond the ability of most shinobi. The most interesting about him in my opinion is the mystery of his body and the potential power that can be his once he completes his transformation. I really want him to eat the chakra fruit just to see how it evolves with his ninja tech body. Extreme overpoweredness is the expectation but he may be the beginning of a new clan of shinobi

I think its some kind of plasma. It may be a kkg? Delta had some arsenal and they have similar bodies. Boruto couldn't absorb it with his karma seal that's how he got the asspull heals. Could be a connection there but more needs to be revealed.

I was talking about his energy blasts which I don't think is chakra based, the karma seals may have originally been a chakra fruit

I believe that Karma functions like a Cursed Seal. They possess Heaven and Earth fragments, but ultimately they are one of a kind. Kawaki represents one, Bolt the latter.

BM Naruto possessed markings that are reminiscent to that of Karma so I believe its Yang based for the most part. This must be why from a feat perspective we see Juugo like extensions on Kawaki a Yang based power due to it being NE that seem to perform certain healing techniques like FRS Cell closeup, the 100 seals technique has been theorized to be an NE based manifestation, since it feels like they're correlated, I'd say that my hypothesis is likely to be factual.

I'm certain that Kawaki is actually chakra-based. Aside from what Uverdore wrote from a narrative viewpoint, nothing about Karma makes me believe it isn't chakra-based. To start with, Karma is essentially a cursed seal that holds the Ootsuki. All of its power is derived from an Ootsuki, and all of an Ootsuki's power is derived from chakra fruits. The first complaint Possessed Boruto had was about Boruto's body lacking chakra too.

I've always assumed Kawaki was referring to Shinobi as in the system of Shinobi and the beliefs they're founded on. I don't think Kawaki's main concern is whether a person is using chakra, but it ends up as collateral because chakra is power & he has to snuff out the power of Shinobis'.

I was referring to his fighting style and the projectile blasts when I said he wasn't chakra based. The karma seal transformation definitely is. Ok im glad you mentioned the heaven and Earth seals because I've been trying to figure out how ryuchi cave fits into the karma plot. At some point the sage mode, curse mark, and byakugo need to be addressed and Orochimaru has knowledge of these. I can see the heaven and Earth correlation with Boruto and Kawaki it could be a parallel. I think there is something about ryuchi cave that ties them together.

Its possible that Kawaki uses nature energy but I don't think it's likely. He is suffering some sort of illness (kimmimaro) from his body rejecting the nine tails chakra. If he is powered with nature energy this would not be an issue. I also think Naruro and Katasuke would have noticed that. But there is the question of how the"core" of Amado's creations are charged. The only known energy source is chakra

The secret behind Amado's tech might be gravity. Gravity has an affect on chakra or vice versa.
