'Finale' doesn't mean its over though. More chaps will be released as usual. Enjoy!
The unexpected arrival of a certain blonde shinobi, the sudden appearance of massive toads and a large wall of flames. All these new developments had set the Iwa shinobi in disarray and plunged them into terror, confusion and despair, Konoha's troops were quick to take advantage of this. Confused enemies were so much more easier to deal with. Even if they severely outnumbered their adversaries, their disturbed state of mind would be their downfall. This fact allowed the Konoha army to steal control of the battle. This and also the efforts of the bringer of Death known as Yellow Flash.
Minato's feet landed softly and almost completely silently on the rocky earth as he arrived at the location of another one of his custom weapons. His cerulean eyes shone with determination as they settled on the Iwagakure shinobi who stood no more than one feet away from Minato and was completely oblivious that the blonde was beside him. A quick swish of his kunai and Minato felled the individual. He crashed to the ground in an ungraceful heap and began to bleed crimson, the red liquid pouring relentlessly from the wound across his neck. He grabbed his throat in an effort to stop the bleeding as he thrashed and gasped for air but found his breath hindered by the crimson torrent of blood that flooded his lungs. The burning sensation in his chest that had set in as he drowned in his own blood lingered a few seconds more before life left him. By this time, the Yellow Flash was already gone, having disappeared in a burst of yellow radiance to continue his slaughter of the Iwa forces.
Barely ten minutes had passed since Minato began to rampage the battlefield, making use of the much feared Flying Thunder God technique and he had already cut down nearly six hundred shinobi. The speed of his S-Ranked Space Time technique had managed to turn the tide of the battle in Konoha's favour within such a short space of time. However, the blonde Jounin who weilded said technique began to feel an uncomfortable pang in his body that any shinobi could easily recognise. “Chakra exhaustion.” he thought as he rammed his custom weapon into another Iwagakure ninja. The three prongs of the custom kunai squeezed through the dirt coloured flak jacket that hid his enemy's frame. Once the blonde withdrew the blade, which had been completely immersed in his foe, a trail of blood trickled out of the jacket as the enemy fell to the ground, dead. Minato then promptly abandoned the corpse in a flash of yellow light.
The basic principle of space time transport dictates that it takes an amount of chakra proportionate to the size of the object that is to be transported through time and space to actually achieve the instantanous movement from origin to destination. In the case of Minato's use of the Flying Thunder God technique, it was his own body that was being transported through time and space and thus he required an amount of chakra proportionate to his size. The chakra consumed was dismal and insignificant for each individual use of the technique. However, much like many droplets of rain cause slow but very real damage to even the hardest of rock, the continuous use of such small amounts of his chakra multiple times in quick succession was starting to take a toll on the blonde. The subtle feeling of exhaustion began to gnaw at his muscles and he could feel that his movements had slowed though only by a minute fraction.
Calculating that he had expended at least a quarter of his total chakra reserves, he supposed now would be a good time to implement the last phase of their plan.
Arriving at another one of his weapons in a yellow flash, he tapped the shoulder of a shinobi whose forehead protector displayed his allegiance to Konoha. The shinobi in question had bright yellow hair which curved down his back and stopped at his waist. “Yamanaka Inoichi,” began Minato, his voice calm as the look in his deep blue eyes, “warn every Konoha ninja to distance themselves from Iwagakure's troops as quickly as they can.” The words carried much authority as they eased coolly through the lips of the blonde shinobi.
“Why?” the Konoha trooper asked with a curious expression on his face which was covered in sweat, dirt and grime.
“My team and I are about to put an end to this battle.” was the response. With that, the blonde vanished, leaving no trace behind except a bright flash of light.
The Yamanaka clan were famous for the mind-based techniques. They trained from childhood to adulthood in a variety of secret Ninjutsu that focused on manipulating the psyche. This allowed them a unique mental connection whereby they could converse with one another using their minds alone.
Taking advantage of this, Inoichi alerted every Yamanaka that remained on the battlefield of Minato's instruction. These Yamanaka ninja who 'heard' from Inoichi then alerted every Konoha shinobi around them of the order to separate from the Iwa ninja. The Yamanka clan members, along with every shinobi they had informed of what Minato had said, ceased battle against the Iwa ninja and began to create distance between themselves and their foes. The Iwagakure troops saw this as a retreat and didn't bother to fight the Konoha shinobi, they believed that if the Konoha forces had decided to flee then the Yellow Flash would leave them in peace, retreating along with his Konoha comrades. This happened just as Nara Tekka predicted it would.
Minato appeared beside Kushina, a flash of yellow signalling his sudden arrival. “It's time, I assume.” Minato asked, his cerulean eyes unflinching as they watched the Konoha ninja scurry away from the Iwa forces. The statement was directed at the Nara clan shinobi crouched on the ground behind the blonde.
“It's time.” Tekka replied.
Minato vanished in a yellow burst of light and reappeared atop Gamabunta in an instant. Obtaining a distinctly red scroll from his weapons pouch, he unrolled the piece of parchment revealing its contents; a sealing formula. The blonde weaved a few hand seals and placed his palm on the centre of the the sealing formula inscribed on the scroll. The scribbles of kanji on the paper were set aglow by the blonde's touch and a trail of smoke ascended upwards from the centre of the sealing formula. “Never thought I'd have to make use of this souvenir from Bee.” said Minato as he took the scroll in his hands and pointed the side inscribed with the sealing formula towards the Iwagakure ninja.
The horde of enemy shinobi were completely oblivious to the blonde's action as their view of him was obscured by the wall of flames and the smoke it exuded. The fire separated them from the toad on which Minato stood.
The kanji of the sealing formula on Minato's scroll began to move, the small indecipherable inscriptions shifted towards the centre of the paper in the hands of the blonde. The ink then shaped itself at the center to form a small black circle. Suddenly, the circle began to emerge from the scroll. The emerging black object began to muliply in size and it gently pressed its way out of the scroll. By the time it completely exited the paper, it was a large, pitch-black sphere which was easily ten times Minato's size. The massive sphere immediately fired forwards, shooting in the direction of the Iwagakure ninja.
Out of the cloud of smoke that ascended from the wall of flames, the Iwagakure ninja saw the ball approaching. It looked like a small sphere to them but as it speedily drew closer, they began to comprehend its true size. “It's a Bijuudama!” cried one of the Iwagakure as they all scattered in different directions, each one desperately trying to avoid the incoming sphere.
However, their efforts were all to no avail.
The sphere crashed into the Iwa shinobi with an ear splitting boom and exploded, a devastating blast which encompassed every single Iwagakure ninja present. The roar of the blast was deafening and the shock waves the spread out from it were so powerful that they blew away the wall of flames that stood in front of the two giant toads that were already summoned and nearly toppled the massive summons.
Minato was nearly flung off Gamabunta's head but managed to hold his ground by rooting himself on the toad through chakra under his feet. “That was a big one.” he commented idly when the explosion ceased, leaving nothing behind but a massive scar on th earth and large clouds of smoke ascending from it. The blonde vanished and reappeared beside Kushina. The red haired shinobi and the rest of their team were protected from the the shock waves due to the fact that they stood behind the two massive toads that were summoned, allowing the behemoth summons to cushion its effect. Another factor that Nara Tekka considered in his plan.
“Well, its over now.” said Kushina with a wide grin plastered on her face.
“Namikaze Minato single-handedly slaughters over two thousand Iwagakure ninja. A nice feather to your cap Minato-taichou.” commented Kato.
“It was hardly single-handedly. It wouldn't have happened if not for all your help. Especially Tekka's planning.” the blonde retorted with a soft smile as he continued to gaze at the deep crater carved into the earth by the blast. “In any case, we should greet the Konoha troops, give them the supplies we brought along and head home.”
“Yes sir!” replied every member of their team just as Bunta vanished in a large white cloud of smoke along with the other massive toad that was summoned.
