The thing with this thread is that you're trying make sense of something that is wrong. Imagine If I wrote a book with many many plot holes and idiotic writing and people try to make sense of it as if there is something to understand. No there isn't, it's merely a plot hole and there is nothing that we are missing-no deep philosophical secrets behind stupidity.
We were born with "sinful" traits to have a better chance at surviving... fear,envy,anger,lust, etc all assist us and keep us on track for survival. Without these emotions we would die very quickly. So for the emotions to dissappear would mean for you to dissappear. The reason you live long is because of these traits. As long as you get control over these emotions, they are a positive thing, they only become a problem when you can no longer control them.
