Some people think sasukes character is bad but thats because they dont understand it. Sasuke flip flopping is not bad because real people flip flop. Lets review sasuke from start to now. Sasuke originally was a good little boy talented but overshadowed by his older brother, that being sasuke wanted to be acknowledged the best way to do it was become police chief as uchiha cant become HOKAGE. The uchiha massacre happened his entire family died by his beloved brothers hands he became traumatized and experienced ptsd and gained anti social behaviour. Sasuke was still a good boy his mental wounds were slowly being healed by team 7 then he met itachi again after that sasuke chose to never forget what itachi did and fully dived into darkness. Being manipulated by orochimaru sasuke finally killed itachi only to find out his entire life was a lie and no longer knew what to do. He was about to revert to being good again abd then obito filled his head with more lies confusing sasuke making him dive further into darkness. After learning the truth from hashirama sasuke was no longer controlled by lies or others and went back to his original goal be acknoledged by everyone and destroy all the lies aka become hokage.

Here is my analysis of Sasuke's character
. I view fictional characters by their character, emotions, development and overall how interesting they are. I will never claim that Sasuke is a “good” person or that his actions are justified, but all of the things Sasuke has done, everyone he’s betrayed, and all of his hatred and pain are what makes him a great literary character.
Sasuke has had the most fluctuations in his character out of any other character.
1) He started off as an arrogant person, who was also antisocial and reclusive
2) He later started to get closer to his teammates and began to care about Naruto and Sakura.
3) When Naruto started to become powerful, he became insecure and angry. He began to resent Naruto and even distance himself from Sakura. This was increased by his anger that Itachi seemed to care more about Naruto than him.
4) Sasuke left Konoha. He did not hate Naruto and Sakura, he actually still had feelings for them, but his anger made him feel that he had to leave.
5) At the beginning of part two, he seemed to have lost him feelings for Naruto and Sakura. On the other hand he still refused to kill innocent people and began to bond with his new teammates
6) When he found out the truth about Itachi, massive hatred and anger built inside of him. He stil retained feelings for his teammates.
7) Sasuke’s anger and Hatred increased to a level where nothing, not innocent lives, or even his teammates, could stand in the way of his revenge.
8) After Sasuke teamed up with Itachi he started to have doubts. He still hates Konoha, but doubts his overall purpose as a shinobi and what his future actions should be.
9) After Sasuke heard Hashirama's speech, he decided to protect the world Itachi sacrificed himself to save. Does he still hate Konoha? That remains to be seen.

Sasuke has deep rooted emotional issues that make him an appealing character. He has had a lot of character development. It was mostly negative development which is what makes it more unique and stimulating. I don’t dislike Naruto, but Naruto is the archetypal protagonist and I find Sasuke more fascinating.

Cool, but I think people expect unrealism from him.

Sasuke's original goal wasn't to become Hokage, his first goal was to surpass his brother, then the massacre happened and his sole goal in life was killing his brother.

And in reality people don't change their side as easily as he does, in fact they will lie to themselves in order to avoid admitting that they were wrong.

His character is quite understandable. That doesn't make it good or relatable though, neither of which Sasuke has going for him.

Didn't you say in your last thread Sasuke's character development was horrible?

Why is this stupid?, because he was under uchiha insanity, once he found out itachi was good, his mind got all jumbled up and he couldent think straight, until itachi came back, and the hokages talked to him, and he already realized that his plan was illogical

Sasuke isn't exactly a villain . He doesn't know right from wrong . He just takes what he wants without worrying about the consequences of people getting hurt or used. He is self centred and does things because he thinks it is what he should do not because he actually has the ability to differentiate right from wrong.

Obito did not lie to sasuke. Everything he told him was the Truth. Except when he said he wasn't behind the Nine-tails attack.

But i still agree, people just can't put themselves in Sasukes shoes. They don't like what they don't understand U_U

"his mind got all jumbled up and he couldent think straight" you're right, like 90% of time he didn't think things through just purely went on about everything emotionally, and they can call it "Uchiha insanity" if they want, I just call it not being able to deal with reality.

It was stated in the manga, Tobirama already talked about it, you can't "Discard", things just to prove a point, that's just like if i said,
"The jinchuurki's are evil for attacking killer bee & Naruto," When they were obviously getting controlled by obito
