Anyway kcm naruto would have eventually taken his soul, kcm didn't just use his own hands but chakra arms as well and Nagato only used 1 hand and still was getting winning the tug of war. Nope, it's just that Nagato couldn't instantly suck out Naruto's soul. Whether it's because Naruto wasn't warn out, because he is stronger than Shizune, or because he simply grabbed his soul from the abdomen is irrelevant. It's not an instant kill against high-level opponents. Again, it has nothing to do with physical strength, it's more like a question of fortitude.

There's no arguing that KCM Naruto would've been finished if Itachi didn't save him, but that ''solo touch'' wouldn't really work that well against the higher tiers characters.
